I have been subscribing to Birchbox for years now and I still love it as much as I when I first signed up. If you don’t know, Birchbox is a beauty subscription service where you get 5-6 samples a month. My favorite part is that you can then leave reviews, and you receive points for each review your write. For every 100 points you rack up, you get $10 in Birchbox credit to spend in the store!
December’s box was all about being “Decked Out!” Even the box was a fun shade of blue with an awesome gold design! (Of course I forgot to take a picture of my box before I excitedly tore through the samples… oops!)
Below is my review on my all my fun samples!
So, I have received Ruffian nail polish in my box a few times. It’s always nice to get nail polish because I love painting my nails and I am always looking for new colors. That said, I am really picky about the feeling of polish– I don’t want it to be too thick or thin, and I am picky about the coverage. Plus I have oily nails, so staying power is always an issue for me. Ruffian is not my favorite polish formula, but their colors are always fantastic, and Ruffian Red is the perfect color for the holidays!
What a pretty color! I am not sure I would wear this all that often, but I really do love the little hint of rose gold. I have worn it a couple days in a row as a highlighter in the corner of my eyes and it really brightens them up! It has a good amount of shimmer, but it is not obviously glittery which is a plus.
I absolutely love Davines. Their products smell oh so pretty and make your hair soft, but not too soft. The replumping line is no different. I’m not sure it make my hair any thicker, but it did make it super shiny and soft. I think once I run out of my Davines Love Smoothing Shampoo, I’ll buy this one!
I think I may be the only person on the planet who does not like lipgloss. Give me a balm or a lipstick and I am a happy camper, but gloss always makes me feel sticky and heavy. That was, until I found Manna Kadar! It looks like a gloss, with great coverage and just the right sheen, but it feels like a balm! Seriously, amazing. The color was a pretty neutral, with just a bit of pink undertones. I thought it would be too close to my skin color, but I actually ended up liking it. I cannot wait to buy this in the full size!
I have no idea if this works on wrinkles, but man am I loving it! I have really weird combination skin– if I don’t wear any lotion, my skin get dry and flakey, but if I wear the wrong lotion, my skin gets super oily. This serum was the perfect amount of moisture without making me oily! Although it’s a little pricey, I think I may just need it!
Do you get Birchbox or any other subscription service? Do you get giddy like a little kid when it comes in the mail?
