    Read Lately

    Although my free reading time has been reduced a bit since having Emerson, I still try to carve out time nearly every day to read. This usually happens first thing in the morning while I drink my coffee or during my lunch break. I attend a once monthly book club which gets me out of my comfort zone so I have been reading a lot of books and genres I would normally never consider.     One year ago today I found out I was pregnant. I had been feeling queasy at work for a few days. I headed straight to CVS to get a pregnancy test and headed home. I peed on the little stick and instantly saw the plus sign.  I thought for sure it had to be wrong, and tried it again.  The plus sign instantly appeared and I knew it was no mistake. Exactly 6 months later, at 31 weeks 1 day gestation, Emerson joined us. Weighing a tiny 3 pounds 3.1 ounces, with a head about the size of  a baseball.     After an 8 month hiatus…

    I’m back! So apparently getting pregnant and then having a preemie baby and then taking that baby home and then going back to work keeps one busy! I thought the 6 month period where we bought a house, moved, graduated, look the bar exam, and got married was a crazy time, but it turns out that was a walk in the park. Now that I feel like I have a routine down (knock on wood because I know I will regret saying that), I want to get back to writing for fun. I hope to mainly use this as a digital scrapbook.
